A Space for Peace

At a recent meeting of Churches Together in Shipston on Stour, two members of Broad Campden living there were invited to lead a Quaker Meeting in St Edmund’s C of E church on Friday Sept 21st 2018 (United Nations International Day of Peace), entitled ‘A Space for Peace’, a time for reflection and prayer between 11.30 am & 1.00 pm. People came and went as they pleased. It was well attended and there was positive feedback from Quakers and others who came.

The Bundle

An asylum seeker's story by Journeymen Theatre was hosted in October 2017 by Broad Campden Quakers in the Court Room at the Old Police Station in Chipping Campden GL55 6HB on October 5th at 7.30pm. The Court Room was packed with Quakers and non Quakers for what was a very moving and at times harrowing performance.

Other events

Once or twice a year Banbury & Evesham Area Meeting holds its Meeting for Business and/or Learning, usually on a Sunday afternoon, followed by tea and cakes.

Once every 5 years the Women’s World Day of Prayer is held at the Meeting House. It was our turn in 2015.

Women's World Day of Prayer, March 6th 2015

Forty eight people from St James’s C of E, Chipping Campden, St Eadburgha’s C of E, Ebrington, St Catharine’s Catholic Church, Chipping Campden, the Chipping Campden Baptist Church and from our own meeting, squeezed into our tiny Meeting House to celebrate Women’s World Day of Prayer.
